When I send a transfer do I get special rates ?

Yes. This is a unique aspect of BEC. Even if a customer does not ask, BEC has a sophisticated software system, which automatically gives you a better rate!

How I can register for BECOnline Service?

BECOnline registration is available at https://www.beconline.com.kw/

How do I get special rates when I send large amounts through BECOnline?

BECOnline Payment System automatically calculates discount rate as per our company policy.

I am not very familiar with Internet facilities. Can you help?

Can I use this service when I am out of Kuwait?

Yes. You can use BECOnline from anywhere at anytime. Please note that all transactions will comply with law relevant in those countries.

Can I remit to a beneficiary for whom I do not have card details?

Yes. Yes you can benefit from our Service Request Facility. This service facilitates you to add new service requests online. An email notification will be sent to you upon the approval from BEC . After authorization you can send remittance to the newly added beneficiary. You do not need to visit the branches to add new service details.

What are the limits on cash transactions ?


The Central Bank of Kuwait has prohibited any financial institution under its supervision from accepting cash in excess of K.D 3,000/-. Any transaction above this limit should be accepted only against payment by cheque or Knet or Bank transfers.

What is Money laundering ?

Money laundering is the process by which criminals attempt to conceal the true origin and ownership of the proceeds of their criminal activities. If undertaken successfully, it also allows the perpetrator(s) to maintain control of those proceeds and ultimately, provides a legitimate cover for their source of income.

How do I save time at BEC ?

I find that sometimes some charges get deducted from my remittance to U.S. & European countries


You’re absolutely right. Banks in the U.S and in Western Countries very often charge for their services.  Be it receiving money or paying money, the Banks charge a service fee.

Does BEC have quick transfers like western Union ?

Yes BEC has associations with agents like Ezremit and Travelex and through these agents we have a speedy service to Asian, European & Middle East countries. For more details contact our Customer Service team on 1824000.

My maid does not speak English. Can you help ?

Is Foreign Currency Cash available ?

Yes, you may be surprised to know BEC is one of the largest wholesalers in foreign currency cash today in Kuwait.  As a retail customer, you can benefit from wholesale rates at BEC.
